So…Where Are You Going?

Where are you going,
Where do you go,
Are you looking for answers,

To questions, under the stars?
– Dave Matthews Band

So…Where Are You Going? It's a great question. Simple. Succinct. But try to answer it quickly. You probably can't. Yeah, context is part of the issue (Um…Tony…do you mean where I'm going right now, or for summer vacation, or are you really off your rocker and asking me where I'm going existentially, in life?). Yeah. I'm off my rocker. I'm definitely asking you the existential question. It's an important one. Most people avoid it like hell and the rest will only engage it when they're five or six beers into the conversation.

Don't worry. I'm not going to bug you with it. I'm just going to share with you real quick – for those that care – where I'm hoping to go next. It's called a literary novel and it's a different beast than any of the other books I've written. Genre fiction is fun (I love it!) but I have an itch I need to scratch because at some point, in whatever I've done in life, I always get the urge to throw deep. The odds are long, but man is it fun to hold your breath while that ball's in the air.

And, truth be told, this is one of the real reasons why I decided to start my own imprint and become an indie author…so that I could change genres and tell whatever story I wanted to tell, how and when I wanted to tell it, without an agent or publisher dropping me like a hot potato for doing so.

The odds may be long, but do you wanna know a secret? I've already written 108,000 words of it, and it's only 1/4 done. Yep. You read that right. It's gonna be a big one. You wanna know another secret? So that it's digestible, I plan on releasing it in 5-6 volumes of around 250 pages each. What's it about? Now that's a secret that I'm not willing to share. Yet.

Stay tuned…
Tony

I’ve basically absorbed all 3 Fasano books, as well as the Parker trilogy. About to read Snow Globe BUT – & I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH – I’m going to need more books & soon. 😉 Seriously, I am a voracious reader & my favorite books make me delve deeper into aspects of my life that “day-to-day” routines seem to diminish. Such as Spirituality, my relationship with God & how to reconcile my habits (in mind & body;drinking, etc) with my true nature which is pure love and light. Drinking & smoking are killing me and I know it – but I struggle to pull myself out of it. I’ve been telling my husband about your books & I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
